Eurocode Package 5: Geotechnical Design and EN 1997

Genorma's Eurocode standards package 5 groups geotechnical design documents from EN 1997, the Eurocode 7 family. The number 5 is the seller's bundle label. Official Eurocode 5 is EN 1995 for timber design; it is not the geotechnical code.

What Does prEN Mean? Draft Standards and Placeholder References

prEN means draft European Standard. It identifies a document under development, rather than a published EN. CEN and CENELEC distinguish draft standards (prENs) from European Standards (ENs) . Does “prEN 50XXX” identify a particular standard? Not on its own. “50XXX” is a placeholder-style reference, so it cannot establish a document's technical subject or requirements without its project context.
