HR Standards Package 2: Governance and People Development

Human Resources Management 2 is a Genorma collection covering human governance, organizational knowledge, competence development and sustainable employability. It is not an advanced certification level following Package 1.

What the current listing covers

The retailer's package page lists ISO 30408 for human governance; ISO 30401 and listed amendments for knowledge management; ISO 10015 for competence and people development; ISO/TS 24179 for occupational health and safety measures; and ISO/TR 30406 for sustainable employability.

These are different types of documents. A management-system requirements standard, a guidance document and a technical report do not have identical purposes. Workforce planning and recruitment metrics should not be assumed to be included merely because this is an HR collection.

Turn a document into an improvement project

  • Knowledge continuity: identify essential knowledge that would be difficult to replace when a colleague changes role.
  • Competence development: connect training to the work people must perform and decide how its effectiveness will be assessed.
  • Governance: make responsibilities, review points and escalation routes explicit.
  • Employability: discuss how changing tasks affect skills and opportunities over time.

Choose one problem, establish a baseline and give the work an accountable owner. Buying several standards does not demonstrate that a system is implemented or effective.

Selection checks

Compare the exact inventory with your project needs, including amendments and document language. Check local employment and data-protection obligations separately. Do not treat this package as a promise of regulatory compliance, better employee performance or successful succession planning.

What Does prEN Mean? Draft Standards and Placeholder References

prEN means draft European Standard. It identifies a document under development, rather than a published EN. CEN and CENELEC distinguish draft standards (prENs) from European Standards (ENs) . Does “prEN 50XXX” identify a particular standard? Not on its own. “50XXX” is a placeholder-style reference, so it cannot establish a document's technical subject or requirements without its project context.
