Genorma Eurocode Package 1: Building Loads and Design Basis

Genorma's Eurocode package 1 collects documents on the basis of structural design and selected building loads. Its package number identifies a retailer's collection; it does not mean that every document in Eurocode 1 is included.

What the package covers

  • EN 1990: the design basis, with the listed amendment and correction.
  • Selected EN 1991-1 parts: self-weight and imposed loads, snow, wind, temperature effects, construction-stage actions and accidental actions.
  • EN 1991-3: actions associated with cranes and machinery.

The reviewed contents do not list EN 1991-1-2 for fire actions or EN 1998 for earthquake-resistant design. A project involving those conditions may need additional documents. Traffic loads on bridges are also outside this listed selection.

Check the project requirements

Before ordering, compare the individual references and editions with the project's design basis. Confirm the applicable national adoption and nationally determined parameters for the country where the works are located. Ask the supplier whether the required National Annexes are included.

What Does prEN Mean? Draft Standards and Placeholder References

prEN means draft European Standard. It identifies a document under development, rather than a published EN. CEN and CENELEC distinguish draft standards (prENs) from European Standards (ENs) . Does “prEN 50XXX” identify a particular standard? Not on its own. “50XXX” is a placeholder-style reference, so it cannot establish a document's technical subject or requirements without its project context. Eurocode Package 10: Towers, Masts, Piling and Cranes
