Built-environment accessibility needs to be considered across the user's journey, from reaching a site to using its spaces and facilities. It is more useful to define that journey than to treat accessibility as one isolated feature. Three documents with different roles The listed standards collection brings together EN 17210:2021, CEN/TR 17621:2021 and CEN/TR 17622:2021. They address functional requirements and recommendations, technical performance criteria, and conformity assessment respectively. That distinction helps a project team separate what users need to be able to do, the criteria used in the design and how the result will be assessed. A technical report should not automatically be treated as legislation or as equivalent to an accredited certificate.
