Conservation decisions depend on the object, its materials, condition and environment. Cultural Property Package 2 focuses on environmental assessment and material test methods; it is not a general library of museum ethics, digitisation or emergency planning. What the collection covers The listed collection includes EN 15757 on temperature and relative humidity in relation to mechanical damage in organic hygroscopic materials, EN 15758 on temperature measurement and EN 16242 on humidity measurement. Other listed documents address capillary water absorption, static contact angle, water-vapour permeability, colour measurement and water absorption by the pipe method. Useful conservation records make an object's condition, proposed work and handling needs clear to the people responsible for it. Cultural Property Package 1 brings together documents for several of these tasks. Check the actual document list The Genorma collection lists terminology in EN 15898, storage-environment guidance in EN 16141, and EN 15946 on packing for transport. It also includes documents on sampling, condition recording for movable heritage, condition surveys of built heritage and heating places of worship. These are distinct subjects. A condition record for a movable object and a survey of a historic building have different contexts. Select the relevant document instead of assuming one procedure applies to both.
